Book:
This
compilation of short stories examines both well-known and
less well-known ghost stories and legends of the Raleigh,
Durham, and Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina. Stories
from Chapel Hill include The Legend of Peter Dromgoole,
and the haunting of the Horace Williams House. Then on to
Durham where the tales of life and death come alive in the
old Watt's Hospital buildings and the ghost of a little
boy finds refuge in a country church. Lastly the book examines
the ghosts that inhabit the capital of our state. The tales
of ghostly activity range from the campus of North Carolina
State University, to the woods around Poole Road, all the
way to the Governors Mansion. No other work has taken an
in depth look into the ghosts and legends that surround
this important region of the state of North Carolina.

About
Haunted North Carolina Paranormal Research and Investigations,
formerly:
We
are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in North Carolina
that is dedicated to the research and investigation of haunting
and ghost phenomena, the collection of data related to these
events and sharing of information. Since 1992, we have worked
to observe, record and study ghosts and hauntings looking
for all possibilities in an accepted scientifically oriented
method. We are looking for the preponderance of evidence.
Because these events happen "in the field" rather
than in a laboratory or other controlled location, we feel
it is even more important to use great care and sound methods.
We continue to develop theories, test and re-test them,
and collect data in an objective manner.
